2010年，正值甜梅號休團期，從千禧交替之間啟航已過十二年的時間裡，昆蟲白為甜梅號領航了三張專輯，以及為電影而做的《刺青 / 電影音樂概念專輯》，四張經典作品在台灣獨立樂團黎明期猶如暗夜中的星光，構築出獨一無二的後搖宇宙，造就出影響力深遠的傳奇地位後，昆蟲白卻特意走向另有蹊蹺的蠻荒僻徑，醞釀出蟄伏心中已久的首張個人專輯《自然人》。

 

猶如蓋起另一座秘密堡壘，周圍種植了奇花異草的莊園，《自然人》廣納多樣音樂風格，將緩飆、另類搖滾、噪音流行、民謠、後搖滾共冶一爐，在低迴糾結的自省意識之中，同時呈現質樸沈穩與躁進痛快的情緒，看似混雜著不同人設，卻始終能跟隨那標誌鮮明而錨定心靈的吉他聲線，繼續前進著。

 

《自然人》由昆蟲白與112F錄音室主理人Zen（8mm Sky、絲襪小姐、Doodle）共同製作，錄製於2010年9月至2011年5月，由紐約Masterdisk的Roger Lian完成母帶，首次發行於2011年8月2日。《自然人》不僅入選為iNDIEVOX十大最佳獨立專輯、破報十大華語專輯，發行多年至今仍被譽為二十一世紀台灣百大專輯之一。
